Stop Reading About Security Platforms. Start Seeing Them.

One of the most common things security leaders tell me is:

I have read everything on this market and I still cannot tell these 3 vendors apart.

I believe them. I used to write the reports they were reading.

Here is how discovery works today. You shortlist a category. You download 2 or 3 analyst reports. You open 12 vendor tabs. You book 4 calls, sit through 4 decks, and then ask for a demo. 6 weeks gone. The problem you started with is still sitting there.

The discovery journey as it stands today: 4 steps, 6 weeks, and no clearer at the end of it.

Tedious. Boring. And slow, at a time when nothing else in security is slow.

That is the problem we built Field Security Insights to solve. We firmly believe in one thing: SEEING IS BELIEVING.

The report is not the product.

Let me be fair to the research. I spent years producing it. It is rigorous, it is useful, and it is not going anywhere.

But it is 40 pages. Then 80. Nobody reads at the speed this market evolves.

And a report is words about a product. It is not the product. You read that a platform "correlates signals and reconstructs the attack timeline" and your brain draws a picture. A console you have never seen. A workflow you have never clicked. An output you have never read. Then the demo happens and none of it matches.

The part that decides your purchase is the part you were left to imagine.

Every platform sounds the same. So nobody can qualify quickly.

One vendor does AI-driven investigation. The next does automated investigation. The third calls it agentic triage. The fourth, autonomous correlation.

4 names. 1 paragraph each. Put them side by side and they collapse into the same sentence.

Now look underneath. One runs a purpose-built security model. The other runs a general purpose LLM with a good prompt. One closes the alert. The other drafts a recommendation and waits for a human. One takes 60 seconds. The other takes 40 minutes of your analyst’s day.

That is not a detail. That is the whole decision. And no paragraph is going to show it to you.

You cannot see the difference between 4 vendors in a paragraph. You can see it in 4 minutes of watching the product work.

So qualification, which should take an hour, takes a quarter. And when it takes a quarter, people stop shortlisting on fit and start shortlisting on brand familiarity. That is the outcome nobody wanted, analysts included. Good products lose evaluations they should have won, because nobody ever watched them run.

More words will not fix this. Watching will. SEEING IS BELIEVING.

So we changed the format.

Field Security Insights is a research interview series. 1 topic per episode. A security leader who has to live with the decision, an analyst who has covered the market, and the platform providers themselves. Same 60 minutes, in the open.

You get 3 perspectives at once:

The security leader. An invited practitioner defines the problem from inside a real environment. What they need, what they have already tried, what they expect from the technology. No vendors in the room for this part.

The industry and analyst perspective. That is my seat. Former Gartner Senior Principal Analyst and Magic Quadrant author, then Field CISO at SentinelOne. The questions I used to ask under NDA, asked in the open with you watching.

The technology providers. 3 vendors, each interviewed, each demoing the platform. Not a webinar slot. Not a deck.

1 problem statement. 1 analyst lens. 3 working platforms.

A lot can happen in 60 min. This is the ROI you are looking for.

People assume an hour cannot hold this. It can, once you take out everything salesy and markety that usually fills an hour.

15 minutes, the security leader. The problem, the practical adoption journey, and my read on where this market actually is against where it says it is.

15 minutes each, 3 vendors. Interview, not pitch. They answer the buyer’s question and then show the platform doing the thing they just claimed it does.

No agenda slide. No company timeline. We gave the hour to the seeing, because SEEING IS BELIEVING.

FAQ on Field Security Insights

1. Is it a podcast?

No, it’s not a podcast. It’s a research interview series.

2. Then is it a webinar?

No, it’s not a webinar. In a webinar you see sales pitches and sometimes a demo of the sponsoring vendor.

3. If it’s not a podcast and not a webinar, then how is Field Security Insights different?

Each episode of Field Security Insights: A Research Interview Series will have both:

• the security leader’s perspective, and

• the platform provider’s solution demo

A practical adoption journey along with 3 prospective platform demos. In 1 hour, you are seeing a technology from multiple angles.

Episode 1: The Promise of AI SOC — going live 2nd September

No category has generated more noise and less clarity than the AI SOC. Every platform claims autonomy. Every platform claims investigation. Almost none of them mean the same thing by it.

So we are opening the series there.

The security leader: Abhijit Chakravarty, EVP — Networks & Cyber Security, Kotak Mahindra Bank. He defines the problem first, before any vendor speaks.

The 3 vendors taking a seat:

BluSapphire — Agentic AI SOC · SIEM · SOAR. An AI-native security operations platform unifying detection and autonomous response, including Garuda, their security intent execution platform, and AR², their agentic response and remediation agents.

Spharaka — Autonomous AI SOC · XDR · OT Security. Sphere™, powered by SAGE™, their purpose-built cybersecurity AI model rather than a repurposed general purpose LLM, with autonomous investigation and OT coverage.

Exaforce — Agentic SOC · MDR. 4 Exabots covering detect, triage, investigate and respond, running on a unified data layer and real-time knowledge graph, with multi-model AI instead of a single general purpose LLM. Run it yourself or have them run it for you.

Each one interviewed by me. Each one demoing the platform. Same hour, same questions, 3 answers you can watch side by side and judge for yourself.

Building an AI SOC platform and want a seat in a coming episode? The call for participation is open at fieldciso.com. Answer the questions buyers actually have, in the open.

Register and believe what you see.

60 minutes. 4 conversations. 3 platforms shown, not described.

Don’t read about it. See it, because SEEING IS BELIEVING.
